Last Friday before the big blizzard, I decided to do some shopping since I knew I would be stuck in the house for a good period of time. I decided to stop at Old Navy since everything else was so crowded and it's closer to my house.  They were having a huge sale.  I wish I had not spent so much at the grocery store! I walked away with these super cute items, including a comfy sweatshirt, not pictured.

I got the scarf for a dollar and the bag for $4.  I have a new class starting that requires a lot of books, so I decided the bag would be perfect for that.

Here is the scarf on.  So cute and warm.  I don't actually have anything like it, so buying it was a good idea.
Speaking of good ideas, check out these shoes I bought a few weeks ago.

Probably not the cutest, but they are super warm and I thought they would be perfect for football season because my feet are usually cold! They are lamo and usually can be pricey, but I found them at Marshalls and they ended up being on clearance for $15.  I have also done some online shopping since I am stuck in the house, but I'm saving that for a different post!

Winter Essentials

Saturday, January 23, 2016

Maryland is currently experiencing the brutal blizzard that has made news everywhere.  It has been snowing since Friday afternoon and it seems to be finally coming to an end.  I was bored and reading through some blogs when I decided it was time to bring this one back to life! To start, I thought an inspiration board would be fun.  Here are some things that can help you beat the winter blues.

Workout Wednesday

Wednesday, June 24, 2015

A new week means new workout! It's good to keep the muscles guessing. This week I have a full body HIIT. What makes this one unique, is that it can be done at home. Perfect for the stay at home mommies out there. I recommend using a 3 pound weight if you're new to working out. I tried with 5 pounders and thought I was going to die!

What you will do is start with one pair. You will do 1 curl, 1 kickback, 2 curls, 2 kickbacks, 3 curls, 3 kickbacks and so on until you get to 10. You will then move to the next pair starting the same sequence. If you are a beginner, you will only do 1 round of whole workout. Intermediate individuals will do 2, and advanced will do 3 rounds. After a few weeks you should be able to increase your weight to 5 lbs.

* I am not a licensed trainer, however, I have done extensive research on fitness.  If you have any questions please leave them in the comment section below and I'll be sure to get back to you.
